I first had to replace the Euro cylinder lock in our front door, as the thumb turn requires that you push and turn it to lock/unlock the deadbolt (which is not compatible with most smart locks), but this was easy to do (and it's about time that we changed the lock and keys anyway). Now I can enter and exit the apartment hands-free with facial recognition and with such grace, ease and technical wonderment, I keep coming up with excuses just to vacate and return to the apartment needlessly! The smart lock will keep the door unlatched for a few seconds once the door has been unlocked, and so all we need to do is nudge the door open without needing to turn the door handle in order to get into the apartment. Whatever next!?
