3 steps to set up your SwitchBot Smart Humidifier. Launch your SwitchBot App, tap "Add device" and choose Humidifier then follow the App's guide to add the device. By touching the button, you could set the running mode as High/Medium/Low/Auto. The Humidifier will keep the humidity at the desired level with Auto Mode. You could even set the humidity efficiency from 1%~100% or schedule it to turn on/off with the App.

Does it have a built in humidistat to keep humidity level in room at the percentage set in auto mode?
Answer:
I don't think so, it looks like it requires the switchbot meter to read the actual humidity level, I haven't seen the auto mode turn off when after hours in a small enclosed room.

How much is replacement filter and how often to change??
Answer:
I just saw the replacement filter on Amazon for about $7.99. I would think it would be good to replace it at least once a year.

Can I set it to automatically turn on and off during certain hours of the day every day?
Answer:
Yes if you have a Hub Mini. You can control it via the app and create scenes that control the unit. Even set it to come on when the humidity drops below a threshold if you have the combination thermometer/hydrometer attached to the hub. Personally it did not meet my needs and I have two of them. The water chamber is smaller than most humidifiers so we have to fill them regularly. Not a fan and probably won’t buy another one. Sorry to be so honest but I used mine for a hydroponics room I have and it did not do a great job.

Is it just cool mist or can I adjust it to warm?
Answer:
Cool mist. The temp cannot be adjusted but the volume of mist released can be.
