Frequently Asked Questions
A single SwitchBot Curtain 3 is recommended for tracks up to 3 meters in length. If your track is longer than 3 meters, consider purchasing multiple Curtain 3 devices based on your specific setup. For example, on a 5-meter track, we recommend using a double-curtain setup that opens from the middle, with one Curtain 3 device on each side to control each curtain panel independently.
Please note that each Curtain 3 device can only operate one curtain panel and cannot be combined with others to control a single, extended curtain panel.
SwitchBot Curtain 3 emits sound up to 45dB when used in Normal Mode, which is equivalent to the noise level of a library. If you want to experience a quieter opening and closing, you can turn on QuietDrift ™️ Mode, and noise will be reduced to 25dB.
SwitchBot Curtain 3 supports one side curtain control even in dual-open mode, you can control one side of your curtains in the device control page in our app.
The charging port of SwitchBot Curtain 3 is a Type C, identical to that of the original SwitchBot Curtain. Therefore, there's no issue in using the solar panel from the original SwitchBot Curtain with the SwitchBot Curtain 3. However, ensure that the solar panel is firmly secured with Velcro. This ensures the panel won't fall due to gravity or have the charging cable disconnected accidentally.
When using QuietDrift mode, the battery tends to drain quickly. Therefore, it is recommended to pair the use of QuietDrift with a solar panel.
