SwitchBot RGBIC Neon Wire Rope Light

I love it works my apple home very vibrant . I use it for behind my bottles at my home bar. Wish they had better music modes but probably will be in an update

I have several neon rope lights, and this is a very nice flexible solid feeling quality light! Comes with everything you need, the cord, the light, the remote and wall attachments. I actually already use other Switchbot items, so I already had their app installed on my phone...thus making connecting to this RGBIC neon rope light easy.

Lights turn on immediately once you plug it into the wall, and with two quick connections to the included remote and power cord --- you're ready to use it. Technically you do not need the app, but it's bluetooth enabled so you can control the rope lights on your phone. Very easy to use the app, change the 16M+ color-combos, has 26 presets and 8 lighting effects for cool displays on your wall.

I LOVE it! Looks great, again pretty easy to attach to the wall with the included adhesive clips/mounts. I put an extra nail into the mounts since I've noticed sometimes these can be heavy and fall off later...Rope light is made of durable plastic and bright LED lights.

In my video, I go through the different buttons and light functions. There's also one for mic that allows the lights to dance in sync with sound/music.

The metal wire really helps to shape the led strip in interesting shapes.

I like the color of the LEDs as they look more neon and less “LED”

I have a number of Switchbot products but this is my first lighting product. It is absolutely amazing! The neon colors are beautiful. Ive added a video but it does not do it justice. You need to see it in person to truly appreciate how bright and vibrant the colors are. I had the light set to 30% and it was a nice light level. The color is seamless. Ive used light-strips in the past where you can see each individual led. That is not the case with this Switchbot Neon Rope Light. This is one continuous light for a nice even effect.

One of my favorite features is the shapable wire which allows you to create different designs. I used mine on a table top but it is also wall mountable. I did need to make a base out of part of the rope light which essentially shortened the light. That is the only thing I did not like - i needed to use a good portion of the rope light to make a sturdy enough base as it kept falling over. I will likely attempt to come up with a better way to stand it on a table top. This is not a huge issue though as i imagine i can make this part of the design.

There are a number of premade effects you can set from the Switchbot app but you can also create your own effects and color schemes.

Overall i love this product. This is my first lighting product from Switchbot and it does not disappoint! I highly recommend it.

Used this to add ambient lighting behind a shelf and around a desk. The flexible wire inside is actually useful — you can bend it and it stays put, so it’s easy to make curves or outlines. The colors and gradient effects look smooth, and setup with Matter / Apple Home was straightforward. Voice control works without needing extra steps.

Just note that this is accent lighting. It looks great for mood and decoration, but it’s not bright enough to light up a whole room or replace a lamp. Also, plan your install ahead of time because you can’t easily trim the length, and tight bends take a little patience to get right.

Overall, very good if you want customizable ambient color lighting with solid smart-home integration. Just don’t expect “main lighting” brightness.

Pros: Easy smart-home setup, holds shapes, smooth color effects.

Cons: Accent brightness only, length isn’t easily adjustable.
