I installed two. After the first one the second was super easy. They work great just like the curtains. Also the wife is very happy.

Amazing option for the cost

Very happy with my purchase. Though shipping took MONTHS longer than expected. I am very happy I waited for this reasonably cost options. I do wish there was less of a gap when mounted outside of the window frame like seen in promotional videos and photos. This is misleading. But, it was incredibly easy to install and setup.

Also, this cheap wired remote is silly. Should have come with a wireless remote of similar size and simplicity.

Would be nice if SwitchBot sold the fabrics separately when you purchase so allow for customization.

Great products that “just work” !

I purchased three SwitchBot roller blinds for the sliding glass doors to our lanai. My biggest concern was getting them cut cleanly so that the cut edge didn’t turn out wavy, and SwitchBot did an awesome job in delivering a solution that would prevent that.

They were easy to install, worked right the first time, and they’re exactly what my wife and I were hoping for. We’re both extremely happy with our purchase, and would definitely buy these again.

Great idea that needs better instructions

I love the idea of an automated roller shade that an end user can customize to fit whatever size they need on their own, but the instructions were hard to follow, especially on a tiny phone screen with no way to full screen the video. There were a couple of plastic parts that it was unclear whether should be kept or not, and both the step by step instructions and the video skimmed over that part. Consequently my shade is now a couple of centimeters narrower than the window. The whole thing took a couple of hours for two of us to install. Now that I've done one, doing more would be quicker, but we just wanted one to start out with to see how well it works. My Google home can see it, but so far can't set it to a percent open it closed like my curtains. A good start, but needs some polishing.

Took a while to get put together and resized

But since then it’s been great. Seamlessly integrated with Alexa. Voice command and schedules to open and close my blind just work. I missed the detail of needing to provide USB power to the shade so I implemented a power bank with a small solar cell and it appears to be working well

Good shades

Installation was a bit tricky at first, but once we got the hang of it, it went smoothly. Nicely designed and thought out! It took about 40 minutes per shade with 2-3 ppl. I'd love to see XXL and XS sizes offered, along with more blackout, custom fabric, and top cover options.
