SwitchBot water leak detector can be used outdoors and detect from a 0.5 mm water level. However, if raindrops fall on the two metal sensors separately as shown in the image below, the alarm will not sound.
The message about the water leak is of high importance, so you will automatically receive notifications on your smartphone when SwitchBot Water Leak Detector detects a water leak or low water level (only compatible with sensor cable). Below is the guidance for when mail notifications are needed.
