Installing switchbot via this kit allows for the turn mechanism to continue operating smoothly via the key. This is because the key adapter can now be right smack in the center of the switchbot keyhole well. While the original switchbot has some allowance for keyturn to be slightly off center, this compromise the ease of using key (outside) to operate smoothly. With this adapter, locking and unlocking of door via key remains smooth.
